Delete account and data
Last updated: 5 October 2026
You can delete your SnapTable account and its data at any time, directly in the app. If you cannot sign in, you can also request it by email.
Delete inside the app
- Open SnapTable and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap “Delete account” (in red).
- Type DELETE to confirm and tap “Delete everything”.
Deletion is permanent and immediate and cannot be undone. You need an Internet connection: if deletion on the server fails, the app tells you and deletes nothing, so you can try again.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in (email).
- Your profile: name, profile photo, colour and preferences.
- Your “About you” answers.
- Your timetable, classes, events, days off and term dates.
- Records of your timetable scans.
- Your student card: data and images.
- Your friendships and requests, meetups you organised (with their chat), messages you wrote, your blocks, reports made by you or about you, your notifications, pending invitations you sent and your device’s push notification tokens.
- On your iPhone, SnapTable’s local data (including widget data and class reminders).
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups at our provider: there are no backups of our own and no daily backups on our provider’s current plan, so deleted data no longer exists.
- Notifications other users already received from you (for example an invitation) may contain your name in their feed until they delete them; if you ask by email, we delete them.
- Invitation anti-repeat record (email and last-send date, not linked to your account): you can ask for its removal by email.
If you cannot get into the app
Send an email to snaptable@alvarorgz.com from the address you created the account with, with the subject “Delete my SnapTable account”. If you write from another address, we may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before deleting it. We delete the account and data within 30 days (the legal limit) and normally within a few days, and confirm by email.
If you only want to delete part of your data
- Student card: remove it in the card section of the app.
- Profile photo: remove it when editing your profile.
- Timetable: Profile › “Delete schedule”.
- Notifications: delete them in the notifications feed.
- Website waitlist: ask us to remove your email at snaptable@alvarorgz.com.
